Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress, dancer and singer. Her first appearances on Broadway included in Musicals Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. In You Can't Take It With You, she won the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in the Play. Annaleigh Ashley, Tony Award winning actor and actress, has worked with actors and directors in stage and on screen throughout all of her career. Ashford will be next seen alongside Kumail Nannjiani in Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited Series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford is in the production of Searchlight Pictures' terror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson. This film is part of a Hulu Original and will be streamed via Disney DTC. Ashford's Broadway return is scheduled to take place in the month of March 2023, when he stars opposite Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production is led by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team which created Hamilton. Ashford was last seen as Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX show American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on the National Crisis which put Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp at the center of the country's First Impeachment Proceedings over 100 Years. Ashford was a part of two seasons of the cult CBS comedy B Positive. It was co-produced by Chuck Lorre with Marco Pennette. It featured Linda Lavin Sheryl Crow, Hector Elizondo as well as Ben Vereen. Ashford is no stranger to Broadway. Her portrayal of Essie on You Can't Take It with You was a winner of the Tony Drama Desk Awards and Outer Critics Circle Awards. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde are amongst her additional Broadway credits. She was born and grew up in Denver Ashford currently splits her days between Los Angeles and New York.
